About us
Founded in 2017 our rescue began before this with one special lady supporting rescues in Romania and re-homing pets one by one. Live Love Adopt is at the heart of our mission. Our rescue dogs have been saved from the harsh conditions of public shelters in Romania. The pets were rescued from ‘kill’ shelters or were destined to a life in overcrowded shelters with little or no hope of being adopted. Love is what they need to heal the pain and fear of their previous lives and adoption is our dream for our pets so they can enjoy a happy life in the romania. For the pets we have in our care that have been traumatised by their experiences and their fear of humans is to great to be rehomed, we provide lifelong sanctuary in an environment where they have freedom, love and safety for the rest of their lives. PET ROMA has also supported the first Community Engagement project in the Romanian city of Galati, in the north east of the country. Community engagement is an integral part of our Stray Animal Care program and provides an opportunity for local residents and stakeholders to address the underlying issue of pet abandonment, which is a significant driver of stray animal overpopulation. Now we rescue and re-home around 150-200 dogs & cats (and a few Other pets) a year. Most of our dogs come from Romania but we also help some UK dogs who have found themselves with no-one and are at risk of being put to sleep. We rescue and re-home a huge variety of dogs from teeny puppies to large dogs.We also take care of cats We also support spay and neuter campaigns in Romania as well as sending food and donations to pets rescue centers who get no governmental support. On the side we also send out donations to children and families in need as poverty is rife in Romania. But our principle aim is to support finding homes for these amazing pets.

Over 90 stray dogs
We have oer 90 dogs here at ROMA Rescue that are too traumatised by their previous experiences to be adopted into a home environment. Some of these dogs in time, we hope may adapt and learn to trust people. For others this may never be possible. Our mission for our sanctuary dogs is to give them a forever home without the pressure of human contact. Our sanctuary dogs dictate the amount of interaction they want to have with us and therefore have attention and fuss when they want it. We provide the dogs with freedom and space to play, a kennel free environment with doggy companions, a clean living space, warmth, comfort, good food and above all safety.

Sadly it is not possible that all of our dogs rescued from Romania would be able to cope in a home environment. The dogs all have a different story and we will never know what traumas they have experienced before they arrived with us. In some cases it is just a case of love, kindness and time that will help to heal the pain and fear the dogs came here with. We hope that in the future some of our sanctuary dogs will be ready to make the last step and find their forever homes. For those dogs that don’t gain that confidence we provide them with a loving and safe environment where they have the freedom to run and play, plentiful food, comfort and safety for the rest of their lives.
Helping cats move out of shelters and into forever homes
All About Cats Rescue and Adoption believes it is our moral responsibility to protect and improve the lives of abused, abandoned, and homeless cats by placing them in loving permanent homes. We will spay and neuter the cats that we rescue prior to adoption plus provide any necessary medical care. We work diligently to educate the public, especially children, on the importance of cat sterilization, responsible cat ownership and the humane treatment of animals. Our mission is to reach out to the communities, veterinarians and animal welfare organizations to save the lives of homeless, sick, injured cats and kittens. This is achieved by compassionately rescuing, providing shelter, fostering, adopting, providing hospice and veterinary services, in order to end needless feline euthanasia in our community, with the ultimate objective, to have every cat or kitten, be wanted, loved, and find their forever home.
